Library Services in response to the COVID-19 (Updated June 29)

To prevent the spread of the COVID-19 and in response to the change that all the classes during spring semester will be conducted online, the library services have been changed as follows.
Please note that we may additionally change the library services and conditions as well to comply with the government or the university-wide decision.

■Library Limited Open from Wed. 3 June (User limited)
Rikkyo Libraries have been providing the specific services with the reservation entry system for Rikkyo students and faculty members only since June 3. ⇒For Details
Please note that those who are not subjected for reserved entry cannot be accepted to enter. We would appreciate your understanding and patience.

About Entry to Campus and University Reception Services (updated June 26)

■Due Dates of Loans
As of Tue. 2 June 2020, all books and materials with due dates between Tue. 27 Feb. and Thu. 16 July 、have been renewed to Mon. 21 Sept..
The books and materials with due dates before Thu. 27 Feb. are not subject to this renewal measure, but we may provide a certain consideration.

■Postal Service
For the limited time, we plan to provide the postal service for students returning to remote areas. Information will be posted on the library website as soon as prepared in early July.

■Returning Library Items
As mentioned above, the due dates have been renewed to Mon. 21 Sept. for the items of the due dates between Thu. 27 Feb. and Thu. 16 July. You do not have to make a reservation of entry to the library just to return the materials. After the normal operation is resumed, we will announce returning method including the renewed due dates.

The materials you have borrowed can be returned by mail or courier services for the time being. (The shipping fee is on you.)

Rikkyo OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog), MyLibrary Service except Photocopy Orders, The Interlibrary Loan Services are available as well.

■Resume of ILL Services (*excluding issue and usage for the letter of introduction to other libraries)
ILL Services will resume on Wed. 1 July. Due to the small number of operating staffs as preventing from infection, it is expected that the arrival of materials will be delayed or canceled depending on the situation of the requesting libraries and institutions. If the neighbor libraries treating the ILL services are out of service, the cost may be higher than normal time. Thank you for your understanding in advance.

■CLOSED for Visitors
The usage and entry for the visitors including from our partner institutions will remain CLOSED for the time being. We also suspend the acceptance of the library tour or inspection. We would appreciate your understanding.
