Ikebukuro Library Group Study Rooms
Terms of Use
Group study rooms are for use by current Rikkyo University students, faculty and staff for group study and research purposes. A group is defined as two or more people. Remote participants are not included in the number of users. Faculty and staff may only use the rooms when accompanied by students and cannot be the primary users. Rooms are not available for regular classes.

★All rooms have whiteboards, pens (one each in black, blue, and red), erasers, magnets, monitors, and extension cords. Rooms do not have any PCs available. Please bring your own laptop or loaner laptop if necessary.
*Wall and floor outlets are not available for use.
Reservations and Use
To reserve a room, access the facility reservation system.
- Groups may reserve a maximum of 2 hours per time.
- Rooms may be reserved a maximum of 2 weeks in advance.
- We will send you a confirmation email after checking your reservation. If you do not receive it before your reservation time, please check the reservation status inquiry page.
- Check in: show the confirmation email or the reservation status inquiry page (which includes your application number) at the 2F counter.
Check out: the representative must complete the procedures at the 2F counter. - It is not necessary for all users to be present at the start of use, but the minimum number of users in the group study room (2+) must be present. Otherwise, library staff may be obliged to refuse your use of the room.
- You can extend your time by the hour if there are no other reservations afterwards. Extensions can only be processed at the 2F counter by the representative, from 30 minutes before the end time until the end (*Not through the facility reservation system). After your session ends, you may make a new reservation through the facility reservation system and use a room on the same day.
- Reservations can be modified through the facility reservation system until a confirmation email is received. After receiving, please contact the 2F counter directly to change or cancel your reservation.
- Please be on time for your reservation. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your reservation will be canceled.
- Special auditing students may use rooms as long as they are with Rikkyo University students, faculty, or staff, and their applicant representative must also be a student, faculty, or staff member.
- Faculty and staff are limited to using rooms with students.
Notes
- Food is not permitted.
- Please respect your fellow students; keep noise to a minimum.
- Taking photos or recording videos is not permitted, except for the whiteboard.
- Group use including non-affiliated persons, such as alumni, is not allowed.
- If the application is incomplete, library staff may contact the applicant through phone or email.
- All equipment and furniture must be returned to their original state 5 minutes before the end time, and users must vacate the room on time.
- If librarians determine misuse of the rooms, it may result in a review of current and future reservations.
