Academic Search Complete is the world biggest full text database for academic institutions including all of general fields such as human science, social science, natural science, medicine, science and engineering and so on.

Overview ｜ Terms & Conditions

Dispute Settlement Commentary is a comprehensive online information source about international trade laws and focuses on laws of WTO. It contains dispute resolution annotations, NAFTA documents, GATT WTO Panel and Appellate Body reports, WTO arbitration reports, Uruguay Round Agreement, GATT Tokyo Agreement, Vienna convention on the Law of Treaties and so on. All the materials can be searched and viewed in full text. In addition, it provides summaries, annotations and analyses of these reports and new interpretations whenever new precedents or new dispute resolution reports appear (within 3 weeks).

KPM is the Korean speech information database, which send Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s major speeches and academic information to the world in real time. Besides “Roudou Shimbun”, “Minshu Chousen”, “Bungaku Shimbun”, “Touitsu Shimpou”, “Pyongyang Times”, “Chousen Shimpou Pyongyang Shikyoku News (KPM Original)”, it contains 15 academic journals and literary magazines such as “Senriuma”, “Chousen Bungaku”, “Chousen Geijutsu”, “Jidou Bungaku”, “Seinen Bungaku”, etc. Users can only browse the contents. It contains more than 400 newsreels from 1935 until 1967. “The March of Time” is one of the most spotlighted as the beginning of 20th century’ newsreel, TV series. It started to be broadcast as the U.S. CBS Radio’s radio series, was shown as newsreel from 1935 to 1951 and had been broadcast as TV series until 1967.

MLA International Bibliography is the secondary information database on linguistics, literature and folklore produced by Modern Language Association. It contains not only more than 4400 journals but information of books, theses, etc. “PMLA: Publications of Modern Language Association of America” contains from 1880’s. When the link “Find this article in full text from JSTOR” is displayed , the articles can be viewed in full text by JSTOR.

User’s Guide (in Japanese)

This is the official journal database of  “National Geographic Society” (nonprofit organization)  which was established for the purpose of the spread of geography. It is well-known that though it was an academic journal, many pictures and photos were used and especially color photos were carried earlier than any journals.

The scientific information portal site provided by Nature Publishing Group. Nature Publishing Group publishes UK academic journals “Nature”. It contains a lot of current topics and interdisciplinary information.

NetLibrary is an ebook collection of about 1500 major Japanese and European publishers. They publish reference books (dictionaries, encyclopedias, handbooks, guides, etc.), specialized books on each field, business books, general books, mainly academic books and specialized books.
